Chance and I got away last Saturday and went out to the local bar, where I proceeded to "let loose" and got semi-inebriated. Very fun.

But in my staring stupor I noticed some things that I found very odd.

Some girls were dancing to the song by Billy*Idol, Mony Mony. These were girls that I call "kids" even though they are at least 21, because they were in a bar. So there is the end of the song where he says "come on, come on" (you know which part I mean, sing it in your head). Now I've always taken this song to be fun and upbeat, and the "come on" is more of an invitation than a threat.

Perhaps I've always been wrong, because these girls were up in eachothers face like they were going to hit eachother each time he yelled "come on".

Basically it made me feel old. And maybe just a bit confused. I wanted to go correct them and tell them they were going about it all wrong, but I let it go and just shook my head.

Also, I had so much fun dancing. I love to dance. It's awesome, I love to let go and just move around the floor. My husbands friend danced with me all night, because Chance (my husband) does NOT dance. At all. Ever. Don't ask him either.

But my dancing isn't even dancing with someone, I just had Sam dance with me so the other drunk old men wouldn't try to dance with me.

I love to watch people dance. Especially when the night is almost over and they are drunk. Even the old people, they are by far my favorite. I love to watch old couples dance. They aren't the best dancers, but you can tell they've been dancing together forever. And little kids, they are so much fun to watch. Their little faces look like they are concentrating so hard, but they are letting go at the same time.

I hope to go home tonight and make some chocolate pudding sugar cookies. MMMM.....
